WHAT IS FAST RELEASE SHEET

NCAP/FAST is a Release Sheet used to expedite the clearance of goods into the United States. The sheets are sequentially bar coded .

FAST / NCAP RELEASE SHEETS

Standard format is singles - One sheet is required for each transaction at the U.S. border .

THERE ARE 3 KEY ELEMENTS TO A NCAP/FAST release sheet :

1. SCAC code – this is a 4 digit alpha code that is obtained by applying to ‘The American Trucking Association' at (703) 838-1822.
2. Sequential start number – each release sheet is sequentially numbered. There is no specified length for this number but the recommendation is 6 to 8 digits.
3. Customer Name – There is no limit to the character length

NCAP/FAST is supplied as an 8.5" X 11" 20lp Bond sheet.
